Patients of Geoff Guest #2 & #3

Case Study: Patient #2 & #3
Mr and Mrs Lizard

Mr Lizard (name changed)

N.B. Time is limited (only 2 hours)

Early 70’s third generation white Australian from north Queensland. Successful businessman. Retired but involved with the business. Type II diabetes. Large girth/overweight. Rum drinker. Has had problems with anger which has brought him into notice with the authorities on multiple occasions. Is an AA-type person (drive for business/work). Complained of fatigue and tiredness. Open to Geoff’s suggestions of diet changes. Geoff has helped with Raven’s teenage children many years ago.

Diet
Doing the best with very limited knowledge. Large meat eater. Typical diet for demographic.

Analysis
Eliminate wheat, possibly dairy and rum. If alcohol is a must, then one or two glasses of wine instead of beer (gluten) or rum (sugar).
Possibly low-blood sugar, due to high sugar inputs, causing a ‘yo-yoing’ effect.
Meat is acceptable provided it is grass fed and not grainfed because it is too acidic.  pH is essential as the body will fight to remain the balance and will remove calcium from the bones to keep the balance alkaline.  reference to come.

Follow-up

Geoff will refer Mr Raven to more information in regards to type II diabetes.
Geoff is invited to visit the Raven’s to discuss more.
